Greg Rodin Recognized as Lexpert-ranked Lawyer in the 2021 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory

Rodin Law Firm is proud to announce that Greg Rodin Q.C. was recently voted as one of the 2021 Leading Legal Practitioners across Canada based on an extensive peer survey process.

Each year since 1994, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory conducts a comprehensive annual survey to identify leading practitioners and law firms across Canada. The selected lawyers have been recommended by their peers, and acknowledged as leaders in their respective fields, lawyers prominent in their practice area and professional organizations, and professionals worthy of significant recognition from their colleagues. Greg Rodin, Q.C. is “consistently recommended” in this prestigious publication, an accolade which Rodin Law Firm is proud to announce. Greg’s Lexpert profile can be found here.

Greg has also been included in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions of Best Lawyers in Canada for for Personal Injury Litigation in Calgary, and was recently named “Lawyer of the Year” in that same category. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and metropolitan area is honoured as the “Lawyer of the Year”, making this accolade particularly significant. Greg was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2009, and in 2017 received the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association President’s Award in recognition of his “distinguished contribution to the profession and the community and the advancement of the law.”

Greg pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Manitoba, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in 1975 before beginning law school that same year.  Greg received several awards for high academic achievement in law school, and received his Bachelor of Laws in 1978.  He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1979, and gained extensive experience practicing criminal law with the highly respected firm of Wolch Pinx Tapper Scurfield in Winnipeg.  Greg began practicing personal injury litigation in 1984, and has practiced almost exclusively in that field since that time.  Greg became a partner at Wolch Pinx in 1986, and remained an active partner until 1997.  Greg was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1995, and founded Rodin Law Firm in December 1997.

Greg has extensive trial and appellate court experience, and has acted as legal counsel in several high-profile cases.  Notably, Greg was lead counsel for David Milgaard in connection with his precedent-setting lawsuit against the prosecutors and police involved in his wrongful conviction and incarceration, which ultimately led to a landmark compensation award.  Greg has written numerous reports and studies on the subject of alternative automobile insurance compensation systems, and he has given several lectures and presentations to the Canadian legal community on the subject of personal injury litigation, chronic pain cases, and “beating the Cap” under Alberta’s Minor Injury Regulation.
